SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Practice Exam

Synchronizing ERP customizing settings between the SAP MDG system and target systems is crucial to ensure that accurate reference data is available. When the customizing settings are aligned, it allows for uniform interpretation and processing of master data across different systems. This synchronization helps maintain consistency in data definitions, structures, and attributes, ultimately leading to more reliable and coherent data when accessed or utilized within enterprise processes.

Accurate reference data is essential for operations, reporting, and compliance. If the settings diverge between the MDG system and its target systems, it could lead to discrepancies in how data is managed, ultimately affecting the quality and reliability of the master data.

While preventing data redundancy, enhancing processing speed, and supporting data governance requests are all important aspects of data governance, the primary focus here is on the availability and accuracy of reference data, making option B the most pertinent choice regarding synchronizing ERP customizing settings.
